Police catch burglar red-handed

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A 19-year-old Dunkirk man is under arrest after police say they caught him red-handed while burglarizing a Buffalo home.
Authorities say Steven McCool was one of three suspects involved in a home invasion on Norwalk Avenue around 2 a.m. on Wednesday. Officers arrived on scene and apprehended McCool after a brief chase. Police say McCool injured one officer's hand trying to escape custody.
McCool has been charged with assault on a police officer, robbery and resisting arrest. Police recovered three weapons used during the home invasion, but say the two other suspects remain at-large.
