AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Amherst Police say they responded to a complaint of narcotics activity at an off-campus student housing complex Monday night, and found a Tonawanda man lying on the floor with his hands behind his hands back in flex cuffs.
At 10:30 p.m. officers say they were informed that Jacob Schiller was agitated and might “take matters into his own hands.” After officers found Michael Sussman on the floor inside, an investigation revealed the two were involved in a dispute over narcotics distribution. Police say they also found a handgun inside the kitchen trash.
Police say Sussman’s associated Jeffrey Barber, of Kenmore, was found in the lot and taken into custody. Police say Sussman and Barber were charged with conspiring to commit a narcotics felony. Schiller was charged with felony assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. All three were arraigned in Amherst Town Court on Tuesday.
