FREDONIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Troopers say they found a man sleeping in his car with a hypodermic needle sticking out of his arm.
State Police on patrol on Tuesday found a man asleep in his car behind the Country Fair store at the intersection of Rt. 60 and Rt. 20 in Fredonia. Troopers say Mark Dzielski, 27, of Brocton was asleep behind the wheel with a syringe sticking out of his left arm.
EMTs were called to the scene and Dzielski signed off on not receiving medical attention. He instead was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of hypodermic needles and a public health violation for having a controlled substance that isn't in its original container. Troopers say they found heroin and Xanax on Dzielski.
He was also charged with unlicensed operator and third degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
Dzielski is due in court next week to face charges.
