Police respond to drug store burglary

BOLIVAR, N.Y. (WIVB) - NY State Police Amity based Troopers responded to a call of a burglary in progress at the Dunn's Drug Store in the Town of Bolivar Wednesday night.

Just before 8p.m., witness's states they saw three men enter the drug store through a back window, steal merchandise, and then run away.

Troopers were able to track down the suspects at a residence on Mainstreet in the village.

While questioning a male subject outside the residence, he was able to confirm that the three suspects were inside his apartment.

A perimeter was secured and shortly later, the suspects were taken into custody without incident.

One of the suspects was found carrying a .380 handgun during the burglary.

The three Bolivar men arrested were: 17-year-old Kyle D. Stives, 19-year-old Joseph R. Fenti, and 25-year-old Robert W. Smith.

They were charged with the felonies of Burglary 2nd deg/armed with a deadly weapon and 2 counts each of Criminal possession of Narcotics with intent to sell.

All suspects were arraigned in the V/Bolivar court and remanded to the Allegany County jail.
