BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Genesee County Sheriff's are investigating an armed robbery that took place Saturday morning at a Sally Beauty Supply store in Batavia.
Around 9:25 a.m. the robbery was reported by a female victim/employee of the business.
The woman reported a man came into the store demanding money from the cash register while wearing a ski mask and holding a knife around 9:15 a.m.
The man then took the woman to her purse and demanded any money she had. When he received the money, he tied the woman's hands behind her back and feet together.
The male suspect told the woman, who was not harmed during the incident, to not make any phone calls for 45 minutes. He then walked out of the store to the Towne Center at Batavia plaza parking lot with an undetermined amount of money.
He returned to his vehicle and was last seen heading north through the Towne Center at Batavia plaza parking lot.
Initial investigation indicates the suspect(s) may have been driving a light colored 2002-2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee with NYS gold and blue license plates.
