Second man sentenced in NU murder

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - A co-defendant is going to prison for his role in the killing of a Niagara University student from Rochester.

Cordero Gibson was sentenced to 15-years in prison on Wednesday. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the shooting death of 21-year-old Brandon Johnson.

The victim was killed during a robbery attempt at an off-campus apartment last December. The man who pulled the trigger, 18-year-old Gordon Jackson, is serving 21-years to life for murder.
