SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Deputies arrested a senior citizen after the man reportedly nearly hit a patrol car.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office says just before midnight on Friday, at Pearl and East Main Street in Springville, 78-year-old Matthew Golabek nearly hit their deputy's car as the elderly man made an improper right turn. Deputies say Golabek was intoxicated, with a BAC of .18 percent.
After being arrested, Golabek was turned over to a family member. He will return to court at a later date.
