JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - Five search warrants executed on Thursday on the southern tier netted about 700 growing pot plants, over 30 weapons, and seven arrests.

Jamestown Police and the NYS Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team made the seizures starting at 5:45 a.m. At the five locations, authorities discovered around 700 growing pot plants, 14 pounds of dried marijuana, 37 long guns, one handgun, items used for growing marijuana and a quantity of cash.

"The investigators told us that the street value of the dried marijuana that they recovered would be about $35,000," said Capt. Robert Samuelson of the Jamestown Police.

Seized at the home: over 400 marijuana plants, two pounds of dried marijuana and a quantity of cash.

At 60 Waters Street in Jamestown: 22-year-old Eric Truver and 22-year-old Jillian Hilton. Both are charged with third degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawfully growing marijuana. Seized at the home: 85 marijuana plants and ten ounces of dried marijuana.

At 71 East 1st Street in Busti: 54-year-old Mark Truver. He is charged with first degree criminal possession of marijuana. Seized at the home: 12 pounds of dried marijuana, a quantity of cash, and 15 long guns.

At 1239 Big Tree Road in Busti: 55-year-old Scott Truver. He is charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawfully growing marijuana. Seized at the home: over 170 marijuana plants and 22 long guns.

Police say their investigation continues. More charges are expected. Authorities say at all three locations in Jamestown, the power had been modified to attempt to avoid payment for usage. All three homes have now been condemned as fire hazards.

Capt. Samuelson added, "We are still looking into this. We believe there are other people involved in this specific ring and we are aggressively pursuing that as well."
