Sex offender charged with raping teen

ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) - A level 3 sex offender has been charged with raping a teen girl in two western New York counties.

State Police arrested Scott Stanley of Albion last Friday after a three-month investigation. Authorities say Stanley, a level 3 sex offender who was convicted of having child pornography in the state of Illinois, had sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl.

Stanley has been charged with two counts of third degree rape in the Genesee County Town of Pembroke and one count of second degree rape and one count of second degree criminal sexual act in the Orleans County Village of Albion.

He is being held in the Genesee County Jail on $45,000 bail.
