Terrah Budinger, 32, of Scio was visiting Michael Baum, 26, at the Allegany County Jail when sheriff's deputies say she smuggled prescription pills into the visitation area then passed them to Baum. Baum was searched by corrections officers who found the narcotics in the lining of his clothing.
Budinger and Baum were both arrested. Budinger has been charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and first degree introduction of prison contraband. Baum was charged with first degree promoting prison contraband and four counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
After being arraigned, Baum was taken back to the Allegany County Jail on no bail, where Budinger joined him on $15,000 bail.
