Southern tier killer to learn fate

DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WIVB) - Monday, a southern tier killer was scheduled to learn his fate Monday, but the sentencing was rescheduled until March. Lawrence Carter, 29, is set to be sentenced for the 2008 shooting death of Gabriel Guzman in Dunkirk.
Prosecutors say Carter shot Guzman to death after an ill-fated drug deal.
Carter will likely get 20 years behind bars.
