Suspect who held up Alfred bank sought

ALFRED, N.Y. (WIVB) - Alfred Police are looking for the suspect who robbed the Community Bank on North Main Street Friday afternoon.

Authorities say the suspect entered the bank around 1 p.m., handed the teller a note demanding money, and made off with the cash on foot. Alfred Police, Alfred State College Police and State Police searched for the suspect in the downtown area with negative results.

The suspect is approximately 6 feet tall with a slim to medium build. The suspect was wearing a dark brown or green Carhart-style hooded jacket, grey sweatpants and white sneakers with a blue athletic logo on them.
