NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Niagara Falls teen has rejected a plea deal in connection with the shooting death of his uncle, who lived next door to him.
Prosecutors offered 18-year-old Darius Belton an offer to plead to manslaughter with a sentencing limit of 20 years. Belton is charged with murder in the September 2012 killing of 37-year-old Luis Ubiles.
Belton rejected the deal. Both sides are back in court March 20.
