BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Two Buffalo teenagers are behind bars, charged with stealing sewer grates in a U-Haul truck around the city.
Citizens called police Friday morning around 2:30 a.m. when they allegedly spotted 17-year-old Anthony Favata and 18-year-old Jeremiah Moore driving around in the van snatching sewer grates. Police pursued the pair for a short distance and placed them under arrest.
Police say in all, the pair had 12 sewer grates that had been taken from Hawley Street, Austin Street, Kail Street and other locations. They both faces charges of criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment, grand larceny, unauthorized use a vehicle and other charges.
