Three busted for drugs on Grand Island

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) - A registered sex offender was amongst three people arrested for drug activity at a home on Grand Island.

Erie County Sheriff's investigators arrested Dezeree Salley, Michael Giordano and Jason Klinger on Friday at a duplex on Carl Road after a several-months long investigation. Authorities say all three are charged with criminal possession of controlled substances and several other drug-related offenses. Detectives say on top of the illegal substances found in the home, there was a marijuana growing operation in the attic.

Klinger is a registered sex offender due to begin serving a two-and-a-half year sentence in May after being convicted in Niagara County on unrelated sex offenses and drug charges. Klinger was convicted in 2011 of attempted possession of an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16-years-old.

All three suspects are being held in the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment. Authorities say a fourth person could also be facing charges.
