FREWSBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) - Two separate traffic stops resulted in drug arrests this week, in western New York.
In Frewsburg on Monday, troopers stopped a vehicle for excessive window tint. While the trooper spoke with driver 22-year-old Stephanie Short, the smell of marijuana came from the vehicle. Troopers searched the vehicle and say they found a bag containing two grams of marijuana. Short was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana.
The next day, troopers in Falconer stopped a vehicle on Work Street for a traffic violation. While speaking to the occupants of the vehicle, troopers saw a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle. The troopers searched the vehicle and found several grams of marijuana. Frewsburg resident 19-year-old Kyle Elderkin, and Kennedy residents 18-year-old James Albro and 18-year-old Mathew Walczak were all arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana.
