BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Strike Force Troopers made two arrests Monday night, after traffic stops in Buffalo.

Just before 8 p.m. Monday, troopers stopped a vehicle because they say the driver wasn’t wearing his seat belt. Police say a driver’s license check revealed 25-year-old Donald Kenny, of Buffalo, had a suspended license. In addition, police say they found two suboxone pills outside their original container and a small amount of marijuana.

Police say Kenny was arrested for seventh-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, and Public Health Law section 3345 for having a controlled substance outside of its original container.

  >>   In June, the Strike Force made 145 arrests in ten days

  >>  One Friday night, also in June, a checkpoint resulted in 22 arrests and the seizure of two guns and 11 bags of heroin

About an hour and a half later, troopers stopped a vehicle on Seneca Street for a missing headlight. A driver’s license check revealed 38-year-old Alberta Ellis, of Buffalo, had a suspended driver’s license and a vehicle and traffic arrest warrant out of West Seneca.
