NEWFANE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Two people have been arrested after a drug raid in the Town of Newfane on Friday.
The Niagara County Sheriff's Office raided a home where they say the occupants were manufacturing methamphetamine. Sean Smith, 37, and James White, 21, are both charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Authorities say they also seized a loaded .22 caliber handgun.
Smith and White were arraigned and taken to the Niagara County Jail on $25,000 bail.
Deputies were assisted in Friday's raid by the Niagara County Drug Task Force, NYS Police CNET, CSORT and MRT units, and Wrights Corners and Miller Hose Fire Companies.
