JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police now believe the bank robber who held up the Jamestown Savings Bank in Falconer is responsible for several other robberies across NYS.
Authorities believe the same suspect in several robberies across the state is responsible for Monday afternoon's robbery in Falconer. Police are now working with the FBI and other agencies to determine the connection.
Investigators are also seeing if the Falconer robbery is connected to the robbery at the First Niagara Bank in Jamestown a few hours prior. In that robbery, the suspect is described as white, around 5'10" and 160 pounds. He has light brown hair with a reddish-blonde goatee. He was wearing wire rim glasses, a black leather coat, black pants, a green button-up shirt, and a black Pittsburgh Pirates hate with a black "P" on the front.
Anyone with information should call Jamestown Police at 483-7537 or Town of Elliott Police at 665-7083. Callers can also leave an anonymous tip at 483-8477.
