DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WIVB) - Dunkirk Police responded to two separate stabbings late Friday afternoon, each about an hour and a half apart.
On Central Avenue around 3 p.m., police say a man was attempting to calm an argument that had turned violent when he was stabbed in the shoulder. The victim was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital and then transported to ECMC. His injuries are serious, but police say they are not life threatening.
About an hour and a half later on Lower Lincoln Avenue, police say a man was stabbed multiple times. He was also taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital and then transported to ECMC. His injuries are considered to be serious.
So far, no one has been arrested in either incident. Dunkirk Police are continuing their investigation and anyone with information can call 366-2266 or leave an anonymous tip by calling 363-0313.
