BOSTON, N.Y. (WIVB) - State Police have suspended a veteran trooper after she landed on the wrong side of the law.
Heidi Wysocki is a NYS trooper who works out of the Town of Boston barracks. The 48-year-old is now suspended without pay after being arrested for DWI just a couple miles from where she works.
Around 1 a.m. on June 7th, State Police confirm she was driving her personal car and was off-duty when her car veered off Boston State Road on a curve near Mill Street. The roads signs had to replaced after her car wiped them out and continued on across the grass and through a little parking lot before ending up on Mill Street, where there is still an oil stain.
Police say Trooper Wysocki refused a breathalyzer test and was charged with DWI, and failure to stay in the driving lane.
State Police and an Erie County Sheriff's deputy were reportedly on the scene that night. None of the Boston residents we spoke with wanted to comment on camera, but most were not aware of the arrest.
Wysocki is an 18-year veteran of State Police and according to internet documents, she's earned over a hundred-thousand dollars a year recently, including overtime. News 4 spoke with her briefly Monday night, but she had no comment about her arrest.
Trooper Wysocki's case is currently being handled by Boston Town Justice Debra Bender, but we weren't able to determine when her next court date is.
