AMHERST, NY (WIVB) - The Amherst police are investigating a daytime burglary that happened in the Maple/North Forest area, Friday afternoon.
Amherst Police responded to a burglary in progress at 3:30 pm Friday. A 19 year old victim told police that when they entered the house they were confronted by a man. A struggle took place and the victim suffered minor facial injuries. The 19 year old victim was treated and released at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
The burglar is described as a white man, 6'0" tall, approximately 170 lbs, and was dressed in black. The incident is under investigation. No other details of the incident are being released by police at this time.
