BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - After seeing the emotional appeal from the family of homicide victim Roderick Peoples, Jr. that News 4 aired Thursday night, Buffalo Police are once again calling for the public's help with the case.

"If you know anything that happened to Roderick Peoples, Jr., please come forward. Give me a peace of mind. So I can rest; so my son can rest. This is a hard thing for me to go through," said Peoples' mother, Tyra Goosby.

Police have provided News 4 with surveillance video from inside the Big Bad Wolf Saloon, on the night Peoples was killed. Detectives need to identify a man they believe has important information regarding Peoples' murder.

Peoples and two other men were shot in the parking lot behind the Big Bad Wolf on October 13. The other two victims survived.

Peoples' family is extremely upset that witnesses have not been cooperating with the police.

Peoples' aunt, Bridget Brown, said, "Come forward. Quit being a coward. Somebody knows what happened. Somebody's seen what happened."

Goosby thinks she knows why some people aren't talking. "I believe they think that street justice is the way, and it's not. Because I don't want nobody else to go through what I'm going through."

"I was once in the streets. And I came a long way. It's not going to accomplish anything, by street justice. Because the family [of] the ones that did this act, they're going to have to go through the same thing," said Peoples' uncle, William Brown.

Right now, Peoples' family is offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case. If you know anything or recognize the man in the surveillance video, the number to call or text is 847-2255.
