JAVA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Town of Java woman is accused of being drunk, driving into a mailbox and taking off. The incident happened Saturday, just after 10 p.m.
A Wyoming County sheriff’s deputy was called to Beaver Meadow Road, on a report that a vehicle hit a mailbox and drove off. The deputy located a piece of the vehicle’s front bumper, and then followed a drag mark in the roadway.
The deputy spoke with 27-year-old Renee Stotz, who admitted to the incident. After a field sobriety test, Stotz was arrested for DWI. Stotz was arrested for moving from a lane unsafely, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, DWI, DWI more than .08 percent BAC and aggravated DWI more than .18 percent BAC.
