PERRY, N.Y. (WIVB) - A woman who called police after striking a cow in the Town of Perry wound up being arrested for driving on a suspended license.

State Police say 34-year-old Jessica Rodriguez called troopers on Sunday shortly after midnight after hitting a cow on Route 39. She called police from her home to document the significant damage done to the driver side of her car.

Police found the cow uninjured, and while investigating, determined Rodriguez had never paid a driver responsibility assessment fee and her license had been suspended. She was arrested on a third degree aggravated unlicensed operation charge and released on her recognizance.

Rodriguez will appear in court later this month to answer the charge.
