WARSAW, N.Y. (WIVB) - After months of fighting, deputies brought a Virginia woman back to Wyoming County to face charges she scammed a Warsaw man.
State Police have charged 75-year-old Treva Wright of Roanoke, VA with third degree grand larceny and a misdemeanor offense of the NYS General Obligations Law. Troopers say between May and June of 2011, Wright scammed money and a car from the elderly victim, who has since died. Wright is accused of profiting in excess of $17,000.
Wright returned to Virginia and was arrested in July of 2012. But since then, she has fought extradition to NYS. But Monday, State Police say Wyoming County Sheriff's deputies brought Wright to Wyoming County Court to be arraigned.
Wright is now being held in the Wyoming County Jail on $10,000 bail.
