AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - After observing a vehicle driving on Main St. and Amherst swerving back and forth in both lanes, Officer Yuhnke initiated a traffic stop leading to a Buffalo woman's arrest.
During the stop, the driver, 44-year-old Evette Warford gave off an odor of alcohol in which she admitted to the officer she had been drinking.
Warford conducted several field sobriety tests failing all three. She was then placed into custody.
She was given several attempts to give a sufficient breath sample; on her second try her BAC resulted in .21%.
This is Warford's second conviction of DWI following her first in 2004.
Warford was taken to Central Booking for processing and then transported to the Erie County Holding Center where she will remain until her court date.
