JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - Deputies arrested a woman they say was living outside of New York while receiving state assistance.
Thirty-one-year-old Colorado Hintz was arrested on Wednesday and charged with first degree offering a false instrument for filing, third degree welfare fraud and misuse of food stamps. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office reports Hintz collected nearly $8,000 in benefits she wasn't entitled to.
If you suspect welfare fraud, call 1-800-782-7463 and leave a tip for investigators.
