CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Dollar Tree employee was hurt after a man threw her against a wall and stole the money she was depositing at the bank.

Cheektowaga Police say the woman was making a night deposit at the Bank of America on Harlem Road around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday when a Hispanic male assaulted her stole approximately $1,000.

The victim suffered some bruises and the robber got away. Police continue to investigate.
