CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Just one day after media outlets reported Cheektowaga Police were looking for a woman who stole from Walden Galleria employees, the suspect has been arrested.
Police say the woman stole a wallet from an unlocked locker at the Bebe store Christmas Eve. Four days later, she did the same thing at Pottery Barn, taking items from an employee's purse.
On Thursday, after receiving at least six valid tips identifying her, police arrested 64-year-old Judith Nestel. Authorities say Nestel was just released from prison December 19 and is currently in custody, charged with four counts of fourth degree grand larceny and one count of petit larceny.
Police thank the public for their help in bringing this alleged crook to justice.
