BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An Amherst woman died at ECMC Monday night after being hit by a car on the city’s west side.

Melissa Dispenza, 54, was struck around 5:15 p.m. on Monday while crossing Niagara Street near West Ferry. She was taken to ECMC, where she later died.

The investigation into the accident continues, but no charges have been filed at this time.
