CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Employees at the Eastern Hills Mall didn't let two suspected thieves out of their sight while calling in police.
Troopers responded on Tuesday and placed Jasmine Hawkins, 22, and Janeva Perkins, 21, under arrest. State Police say the Buffalo women stole a wallet out of an employee's purse at a store inside the mall. Employees followed the pair out while calling 911.
Police say the wallet was found in a snow bank and the cash was found hidden in the women's undergarments. Both are facing charges of fourth degree grand larceny and petit larceny.
Hawkins and Perkins are being held in the Erie County Holding Center on $3,000 bail.
