18th annual Maple Weekend underway

NEW YORK, (WIVB) - Maple lovers prepare yourselves for a sweet and tasty festival underway this weekend.

The 18th annual Maple Weekend has begun where more than 100 farms from across the state are taking part in the delicious event.

Smith's Maple Farm on Mayer Rd. in Hamburg, among others are celebrating the special weekend. They are offering samples of their delicious syrup, maple icecream, candy, mustard and much more.

Farm animals and kids games will also be available at Smith's Maple Farm Sunday.

With no cost to visitors, they can stop in to see the sugarhouses until 4 p.m. today.
