BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Former Buffalo Sabre Matthew Barnaby was back in court, Friday.
Barnaby was in Erie County Domestic Violence Court, for last month's incident with his estranged wife.
The judge continued the two orders of protection, directing ESPN Analyst Matthew Barnaby to stay away from his estranged wife and another male victim.
Friday morning, Barnaby walked into court surrounded by a team of lawyers, who had no comment.
Amherst Police arrested Matthew Barnaby back in May, for a non-violent domestic incident involving his estranged wife and another man. Police say, no physical contact was made, but property was seriously damaged.
Published reports say that Barnaby called his estranged wife “worthless” and said to her, “I wish you would die.”
Barnaby’s attorneys had no comment when they left the Buffalo courtroom, Friday morning.
The former Sabre is facing five charges, including a felony. He could spend up to four years behind bars.
Barnaby is scheduled back in court, on July 8th.
