SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A caught-on-tape beating outside a local bar has gone to trial.

Jury selection began in the case against Joshua Holts. Witnesses say he shouted anti-gay slurs and attacked 48-year-old Scott Wright outside a bar in Springville two years ago. Holts withdrew his original guilty plea.

A judge ruled he would be compelled to give Holts a tougher sentencing after reviewing post-plea information.
