BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Capital One is buying HSBC Bank’s US Credit Card and Retail Services Division.
The value of the HSBC credit and retail business is over $32 billion.
The sale does not include HSBC Bank USA's US $1.1 billion credit card program. HSBC Bank USA will continue to offer credit cards to its customers.
Last week, HSBC sold its upstate New York branch network to Buffalo-based First Niagara .
