TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Parents and taxpayers in the Ken-Ton School District got a crash course Thursday night in the district's financial future.

Edison Elementary School hosted a community forum with Superintendent Mark Mondanaro.

"It's well attended tonight because what the budget crisis has put on our district and all the districts in New York state. So it's an opportunity to share some thoughts, interact with the superintendent directly, understand where the facts and figures are," said Mondanaro.

The Ken-Ton district stands to lose more than $1.5 million in state aid under Governor Andrew Cuomo's proposed budget.
