BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Cheektowaga man who is accused of choking and striking a woman, was in court Tuesday morning.
Twenty-five-year-old Antoine Garner is accused of choking a 43-year-old woman in June. Garner is accused of choking the woman in a vacant house on Jewett Avenue until she lost consciousness, and then striking her in the forehead with a foreign object.
Garner was arraigned on an indictment charging him with second-degree strangulation and second-degree assault.
Garner faces a maximum prison sentence of seven years on each count.
Garner was questioned but never charged in the death of Amanda Wienckowski in 2009
