Man convicted of brutal bar assault

SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Cheektowaga man now awaits his fate for a brutal beating.
Joshua Holts was convicted of assault. Prosecutors say he brutally attacked Scott Wright during an argument outside a Springville bar two years ago. Witnesses say Holts shouted anti-gay slurs and attacked the 48-year-old Wright outside of the bar. The attack was caught on surveillance.
Holts will be sentenced in September.
