ALDEN, N.Y. (WIVB) - State Police are hunting Tuesday night for a man who stole prescription drugs from a pharmacy in Alden.
Sources say the unarmed bandit handed a note to the pharmacist and made off with hundreds of Oxycontin pills from a Rite-Aid Pharmacy on Broadway.
Customer Helen Czarnecki said, “I think it's terrible. I mean, I don't know what this society's coming to. [It’s scary] because this is a close-knit town. Everybody knows each other.”
Troopers say the robber did not ask for money.
