CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A fall tradition in Clarence has a new twist.

The Fall Festival continued this weekend at the Great Pumpkin Farm on Main Street. On Sunday, some of the biggest names in competitive eating got together for the first, "World Hands-free Pumpkin Pie Eating Championship." It's considered the first hands-free eating contest sanctioned by an official organization.

Dave "Coondog" O'Karma, CEO of All-Pro Eating, said, "We are going retro, old school, county fair, type kind of eating and we're going without the hands, which is, you know, picnic style so it's going to be a new world record today for pumpkin pie."

The winner and new record holder is Chris "The Mad Greek" Abatsas, who wolfed down 25 pieces of pie in eight minutes.
