AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - Passersby on the I-290 are drinking in the new paint job for the blue water tower in the Town of Amherst.

The Erie County Water Authority has taken down the tarps and scaffolding that wrapped around the 25-year-old tower for the past two months. The paint job cost almost $2 million. See what it took to revamp this iconic tower here.
