Car hits 7-Eleven, a near miss for two

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police say a 63-year-old woman accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake and crashed through a 7-Eleven store on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga on Wednesday.

The vehicle went half-way into the store.

Capt. Jim Speyer said, "There were a couple of employees in the store. Two people who just walked into the store were narrowly missed by a foot or two. Unfortunately this keeps happening, we've seen it in the news. I don't know what's going on, but it's unfortunate."

No charges have been filed.
