Construction may cause delay at airport

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Construction begins shortly after sunrise on Tuesday on the two-tier entrance to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

NFTA officials say for the next few months, the upper level departure lanes will be reduced to one lane for routine paving and sidewalk replacement, and the lower level arrival lanes will be reduced to one lane during the overnight hours.

Those picking someone up at the Airport are advised to make use of the cell phone lot off Holtz Drive, where they can wait in their car for free until the person they are picking up calls them over to the arrival lanes.

The work should be completed by August.
