BOSTON, N.Y. (WIVB) - Just before 4 p.m. on Thursday, first responders raced into action in Boston, though they didn't have far to go.
The roof of a building owned by Eastwood Industries, a metal fabricating business, collapsed on Boston State Road when a side wall made of brick crumbled. Neighbors heard a boom and their lights flickered. The collapse took down some power lines.
Thankfully, no one was inside at the time. But had there been, first responders would have been on the scene in seconds. The building is right next door to the Patchin Fire Company, which responded to the scene just feet from their own front door.
