KENMORE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Flames drove a single mother and her son from a home on Nassau near Colvin Avenue in Kenmore.

Firefighters say flames broke out in a back bedroom and spread quickly to the rest of the house, leaving behind $125,000 in damage. Rescuers tried but were not able to save the family's dog.
