TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Time is running out to donate items to one of the biggest used book sales in the region.
The 58th Annual Scholarship Book Sale hosted by the Buffalo Chapter of the American Association of University Women begins at the end of May. The organization is now accepting your unwanted books, CD's, DVD's, puzzles and games in good condition that can be put up for sale.
You may drop off your donations at the book sale site in the (former) Office Depot Plaza, 2309 Eggert Road, at the intersection of Sheridan and Eggert, Tonawanda. Volunteers are on-site Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please be aware that the AAUW does not accept textbooks, Reader's Digest condensed books, magazines, videotapes or encyclopedias.
The 58th Annual Scholarship Book Sale opens on May 30th and runs through June 3rd. Hours for the sale are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. There is an admission charge each day except Sunday.
Proceeds from the Book Sale benefit local scholarships and educational programs. AAUW is the oldest and largest national organization working to improve opportunities for all women and girls.
