In the Village of Forestville, Mark Hilliker had just arrived from Cleveland.
"It was just really, really windy. And a lot of rain. I beat the storm with the snow, but it caught up with me," he said.
On the 219 in the Boston hills, one car slid into the ditch. And the widespread snow kept many drivers on their toes.
Sarah Currie of West Valley said, "It came really fast within the last hour. They haven't been able to catch up with the snow plows."
In Ellicottville, Holiday Valley is open for skiing. Kissing Bridge is hoping to open the day after Christmas. Chestnut Ridge in Orchard Park doesn't quite have enough snow for sledding yet, but it is still snowing.
