CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - It was a frightening night for 53 people aboard a commuter plane that had to make an emergency landing at the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport on Thursday.

Authorities at the airport declared an emergency shortly after 9 p.m. after receiving reports the plane was experiencing possible brake problems. The U.S. commuter flight circled for about a half hour to burn off fuel and then came in for landing.

The NFTA says the plane pulled up to the terminal shortly after and the passengers were allowed off. There were no injuries.
