BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Dozens of organizations came together to make the community a safer place on Thursday.
The campaign is called, "Bullying Stops Here" and the entire month of October is dedicated to this awareness campaign, launched by the Erie County Library System.
Many people, including Congressman Brian Higgins, were on hand to sign banners pledging to do their part to stop bullying. There will be more than 30 activities taking place through the month to help people learn of the resources out there to stops bullies.
Library director Mary Jean Jakubowski said, "Bullying takes on many forms and affects a wide aray of populations within our community, there are tolls on how each of us can support in kindness and fairness to be more accepting of everyone's differences."
